AI FOR INCLUSION: BRIDGING LEARNING GAPS IN SPECIAL EDUCATION
Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative tool in special education, offering innovative solutions to bridge learning gaps and foster inclusivity. This study explores how AI-driven technologies, such as adaptive learning platforms, assistive devices, and speech therapy applications, address the unique needs of students with disabilities. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative analysis of academic outcomes with qualitative feedback from educators and students. Results indicate that AI tools significantly enhance accessibility, engagement, and academic performance. However, challenges such as technical barriers, training deficits, and ethical considerations must be addressed for widespread implementation. This paper concludes with recommendations for integrating AI into special education to create inclusive and equitable learning environments.
