Personalized Learning in Special Education: The Role of Artificial Intelligence
Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing personalized learning in special education, offering tailored solutions to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities. This paper examines the role of AI in enhancing individualized educational experiences, focusing on adaptive learning platforms, assistive technologies, and AI-driven interventions for speech and language development. A mixed-methods approach was employed to evaluate the impact of AI on academic performance, engagement, and accessibility. Results show significant improvements in learning outcomes and student participation, while also identifying challenges such as technical barriers, training gaps, and ethical considerations. This study underscores the potential of AI to transform special education and provides actionable recommendations for its effective integration.
